OFFICIAL: Hero XPulse 200 & XPulse 200T Launched in Nepal at NADA Auto

Hero Moto Corp has officially unveiled the new Hero Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 200T in Nepal at NADA Auto Show. Both Hero Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 200 is expected to be launched in the Nepalese market after Dashain. Hero has not officially announced the price of Hero XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T in Nepal. It is expected to be around 3 lakhs 80 thousand for XPulse 200 and around 3 lakhs 30 thousand for XPulse 200T.

Hero XPulse 200

Hero XPulse 200 is an off-road bike from Hero Moto Corp. XPulse 200 is powered by a 199.6 cc Air-cooled, 4 Stroke 2 Valve Single cylinder OHC engine which can generate a maximum power of 13.5kw/18.4ps @ 8000 rpm and maximum torque of 17.1 Nm @ 6500 rpm. It has a viscous type air filter with Digital DC CDI Ignition System ignition.

The overall design of the bike looks quite great and features new technology like smartphone connectivity (Bluetooth) with call alerts.  The bike has a simple design and doesn’t look like the dirt bikes like from Crossfire and Honda. This bike is built for comfortable rides on off roads. The Xpulse 200 comes with a high mounted mudguard and an engine bash plate so that you can have all that off-road fun. XPulse 200 comes with 13L of fuel tanks and according to Hero it will give an average mileage of around 35 to 40 km/l on the roads.

It comes with a multi-plate wet clutch and 5 number of gearbox in diamond frame type. As for the suspension, Telescopic (37 mm Dia) with Double DU Bush (190 mm Stroke) suspension is used on the front and 10 step Rider-adjustable Monoshock, 170 mm Wheel Travel suspension is used at the rear.

Talking about the braking system, this bike features single-channel ABS which is a great feature to have on any bike which increases the braking efficiency and reduces the braking distance. 276 mm disc, Single Channel ABS is used on the front and 220mm disc brake is used on the back.

Hero XPulse 200T

Hero XPulse 200 was an off-road bike and Hero XPulse 200T is a tourer bike. Hero XPulse 200T was one of the most affordable adventure bikes in India and can be the same in Nepal also due to its price range. Normally a Tourer bike costs quite high compared to the Hero XPulse 200T price in Nepal.

Hero XPulse 200 is powered by a 199.6 cc engine which can generate a maximum power of 13.5kw/18.4ps @ 8000 rpm and maximum torque of 17.1 Nm @ 6500 rpm. It features a Telescopic (37 mm Dia) with anti-friction bush on the front and 7 step Rider-adjustable Monoshock on the back.

In terms of design, there are some differences between Hero XPulse 200T and XPulse 200 when both bikes were tested on the roads. Hero XPulse 200T feels more comfortable and easier to ride all thanks to lower ground clearance and shorter suspension travel. And this is the reason XPulse 200T is a tourer bike.
