Hero MotoCorp has always been perceived as a manufacturer of commuter motorcycles. So, it’s obvious who they are targeting primarily. The company had a few attempts to appeal to a broader audience but did not succeed as much as they wanted to.
However, things took a turn when Hero introduced Xpulse 200. The adventure-focused motorcycle did numbers. The Xpulse 200 is still racking up the numbers. It made it clear that people are rooting for Hero to come up with more enticing motorcycles.
So, that’s what they did. They brought the Xtreme 160R boasting an aggressive design to convey that they are not afraid of stepping outside their comfort zone. Let’s start with the designs!
Hero Xtreme 160R Overview
Design and Features
The design of Hero’s Xtreme 160R is inspired by the Xtreme 1R. It looks unique, aggressive, and muscular. The attention to detail on this motorcycle is on point. Every inch is beautifully utilized.
The Hero Xtreme 160R broke the stereotype in terms of design. You no longer consider it a commute-only motorcycle. It’s equally good-looking and a head-turner without a doubt.
The new Xtreme 160R weighs 138.5kg, which is lighter for a streetfighter motorcycle. Hero did so to continue the impressive fuel economy even with the Xtreme 160R.

To give you an idea of Hero Xtreme 160R’s performance, the motorcycle is capable of 0 to 60kmph in 5.77s and 0 to 100kmph in 23.36s. Not the best in its segment but the bike delivers adequate power.
