Husqvarna to enter the Electric Urban-Mobility Market with E-Pilen concept.

Husqvarna motorcycles will enter the electric mobility market and moves forward into the future with a zero-emissions product range to increase its brand to a new audience and exciting riders. After the success of the Husqvarna Vitpilen and Husqvarna Svartpilen models, the company takes the pioneering design and offers a vision of the future with the E-Pilen concept

Husqvarna E-Pilen Overview

Husqvarna E-Pilen will be the first bike from Husqvarna to enter as an urban-electric motorcycle, although the company has launched E-Bikes and E-scooter under the same concept of “Performance and Urban E-Mobility.”. Although the transition from the traditional trademark style to an electric model is quite difficult for many companies, Husqvarna has been the master and pulled off the transition decently well.

Features and Design

The new Husqvarna E-Pilen has a similar body as the Vitpilen and Svartpilen, as well as the panels in the faux tank area. The current variants of the Husqvarna are all popular for their progressive, smart, dynamic, and pure design concept. The same concept can be seen on the new electric mobility vehicle E-Pilen.

Power and Performance

Husqvarna E-Pilen is powered with an 8 kW which provides a 100 km range. The bike is developed under the concept of urban mobility and for the daily urban commuter and provides a range that increases the time between battery charges to the maximum.

The E-Pilen has a chain-driving 8 kW (10.7 hp) motor, which seems to be a good power for daily commuters. However, the battery range is not meant for long journey travelers and setting new speed records. Although the top speed is not revealed yet, we expect the top speed to be about 100 to 120 km per hour looking at the motor.

Husqvarna E-Pilen Price in Nepal and Availability

Husqvarna recently released a video that shows the images of the new electric-urban motorcycle. The bike will be launched in 2022, as the company stated earlier.

Statement from the company:

“It has always been the aim of Husqvarna Motorcycles to develop new products accessible to the broadest possible spectrum of riders. The E-mobility range will retain and continue the riding pleasure and dynamics refined through the long history and experience of the brand. In support of the E-mobility initiative, Husqvarna Motorcycles will strategically expand its dealer presence in urban and metropolitan areas.

Development of the E-mobility range is already well-advanced, and further information will be released shortly.”
