Founded in 1689, Husqvarna only started manufacturing motorcycles in 1903. The company designs, engineers, and manufactures motorcycles, motocross, enduro, and even the supermoto. The Swedish-origin company was acquired by KTM in 2013. Today, the distribution of Husqvarna motorcycles are handled by KTM itself.
Fun fact: The logo of Husqvarna depicts a gun sight viewed from the end of the barrel. Isn’t that cool?
Okay, now that you have caught up to the speed, let’s look at the specs and details of the new 2020 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 in Nepal.
Husqvarna Vitpilen 250
Design and Features
Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is designed with the concept of the Husqvarna 701 Supermoto model in a minimalistic way.
Vitpilen 250 is what we refer to as a café racer. The paint scheme is enticing and with the matte finish, the motorcycle looks classic. Unlike the Svartpilen 250, this bike gets clip-on handlebars.
The seat is a single-peace premium seat with road tires. The riding posture is aggressive and you have to lean a little forward as compared to the Svartpilen 250.
Engine and Performance
Powering the Vitpilen 250 is a 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled BS6-compliant FI engine. It can generate a max power of 30PS at 9,000rpm and a max torque of 24Nm at 7,500rpm. The engine is complemented by the 6-speed manual transmission.
Similar to the Husqvarna Svartpilen, you get a 9.5-litre fuel capacity. Which I think is pretty low. But let’s make it clear, this bike is built for power and performance rather than commuting.
Salient features of Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 in Nepal:
- Dual-Channel ABS
- Steel Trellis Frame
- Clip-on Handle Bars
- WP USD Front Suspension and WP Rear Mono Shock
- All-LED Lights
- Attractive circular Headlight
- All-Digital Instrument Cluster
Brakes and Tires
Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 features a Dual-Disc brake setup with the inclusion of Dual-Channel ABS. The brakes on the Vitpilen 250 are from BYBRE, similar to most KTM bikes in Nepal. However, the tire is Street Ready MRF opposite to the Husqvarna Svartpilen. The Vitpilen is more of a street bike.

Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 Price in Nepal & Availability
The launch of Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 was done via Social Media and it was not really massive. Considering the situation of right now, I think they chose the right way to launch the Vitpilen 250 along with its sibling Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
The Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 Price in Nepal is set at NPR. 5,69,900. Pretty reasonable for a 250cc motorbike in Nepal.
However, only time will tell how much appreciation does it get from the motorcycle enthusiasts in Nepal. You can book one through KTM showrooms through the given contact details.
