KTM 390 Adventure Bookings Open in Nepal: Bang for your buck?
The KTM 390 Adventure is finally here. Great news for the adrenaline junkies!
Recently, the authorized distributors of KTM bikes in Nepal, Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. Pvt. Ltd. has made available the bookings of the all-new KTM 390 Adventure.
KTM 390 Adventure Overview
The KTM 390 Adventure is all about touring and adventuring as the name suggests. The motorcycle looks tough and READY TO RACE at the same time.
A quick glance and you can tell that it has been inspired by the KTM 790 Adventure. It highlights some of the jaw-dropping features that have never been seen in the segment. Let’s start with the design.
Design and Features
The rugged design of the KTM 390 Adventure gives off an aura of touring and adventure. While the KTM DNA and minimalism are still present, the motorcycle has a brand new travelling vibe to it.
Boasting its Travel-Enduro design, KTM 390 Adventures comes with an ultra-lightweight trellis frame and matte coloured finish. As expected, the design and finish of this motorcycle is high-end and is complemented by the iconic “fly line”.
The headlight gets the LED split-headlamp setup similar to the Duke 250 or the 390. However, a bunch of extra features has been added to accommodate the rider with a pleasurable touring experience.
Salient features of KTM 390 Adventure:
- LED split-headlamp
- Dual-Channel ABS
- Cornering ABS
- Traction Control
- Slipper Clutch & Quick Shifter
- 5-inch TFT Color Display
- Adjustable Triple Clamp Handlebar
- Sharp Tank Shrouds
- Stylized Grabrails
- Dual Purpose Metzeler Tires
- Boxy Exhaust System
Engine and Performance
Powering the KTM 390 Adventure is a 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, Fuel-Injected engine. It can generate a max power of 44HP at 9,000rpm and a max torque of 37Nm at 7,000rpm. Basically, the same engine that we are used to on the RC and Duke 390.
The 6-speed manual transmission complements the 373.2cc engine with a slipper clutch for easy transmission. Accompanied by a whole lot of features, KTM 390 is a performance machine. The lower rpm performance is adequate while the bike starts to shine at the higher rpm.
For better performance, you can change the riding modes and traction controls as well. The Dual-Channel Cornering ABS provides you the confidence that you need on a long ride. Also, the complaint of the hard padded seats should no longer be there with the new softer seats.
Brakes and Tires
The 2020 KTM 390 Adventures has an advanced braking system featuring the Dual-Channel Cornering and Off-road ABS, something that most riders are unfamiliar with within the segment. Mainly because most competitors of the 390 Adventure simply do not offer this kind of braking system.
The tires are Dual-Purpose Metzeler Tyres meant for both the on and off-roading conditions. The rims however could be a disappointment to many since it’s made up of alloy and not the spokes. It would have been nicer to see a spoke wheel variant. But nope, alloy it is. At least for now.
Since the KTM 390 Adventure is a touring motorcycle, it gets a massive 14.5-litre fuel tank. It is a relatively larger fuel tank and understandably so. The mileage on the KTM 390 Adventure is around 25kmpl, more or less depending upon the riding style and road.
