Engine and performance
The KTM 250 Duke is powered by a 248.8cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine motor that’s mated to a 6-speed transmission box and features a slipper clutch. It produces a maximum power of30BHP @9000RPM and a maximum torque of 24Nm @7500RPM. The bike is not equipped with ABS as compared to other low priced bikes available in the market, but other latest features and the performance of the engine will overshadow the deficiency. Duke 250 is designed around a lightweight tubular trellis frame with a dry weight of 147KG.

Brakes and Tyres
The suspension duties are performed by. The braking duties of the DUKE 250 are handled by a 300 mm disc brake at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear with Bybre calibers. But the dual disc setup provides enough stopping power. Another safety feature on this bike is the mandated AHO system in the headlight which makes the bike visible to the oncoming traffic.
The suspension duties are taken care of by 43 mm upside-down forks in the front and monoshock at the rear. This bike gets the same multi-spoke 17-inch alloys seen on the Duke 390 shod with tubeless tyres of section 110/70 on the front and a section 150/60 on the rear. Tyres on this bike provide excellent grip for those curves and turn on the roads.
The KTM Duke 250 has a fuel tank capacity of 13.4 liters and gives a decent mileage of 35 KMPL in city riding conditions.
