Honda Hornet Price in Nepal Image 1

Honda has officially launched the new Hornet 2.0 in India and here’s everything that you need to know. Trust me there’s a ton.

Honda has a solid presence when it comes to two-wheelers. But it has always been manufacturing motorcycles for convenience rather than performance on the lower segments.

However, with the latest unveiling of the Hornet 2.0 might have just proved that wrong. A quick glance at the bike and you know they are not playing around this time.

The aggressive-looking tank design accompanied by the enticing golden-colored upside-down forks shows that the Hornet 2.0 is here to dominate.

But do the power figures comply with the looks of this motorcycle? Let’s take a look at the numbers.

Engine and Performance

Honda Hornet 2.0 comes with a 184.40cc air-cooled 4 stroke FI engine. The motorcycle comes with a next-gen BS6 compliant engine that can generate up to 17.26PS of max power at 8,500rpm and up to 16.1Nm of max torque at 6000rpm.

For the gearbox, Honda went for a 5-speed manual transmission, which in my opinion is a downer.

Design and Features

The all-new Hornet 2.0 has gotten a complete remake in terms of design while carrying the same DNA from the Hornet 160R.

The redesigned fuel-tank looks aggressive and muscular. In addition to the tank, the headlight design has also been upgraded. While on the rear, the Hornet 2.0 gets a faux air intake for aerodynamics and an impressive split-seat setup. Not to mention the backlit instrument cluster with features like Gear Indicator, Service Due Indicator, Time Clock, and more.

New Features of Honda Hornet 2.0

  • Aggressive Tank Design
  • LED All-Around
  • Sporty Split Seat
  • Fully Digital, Liquid Crystal Meter
  • Golden Upside Down (UPS) Front Fort
  • Mono Shock Rear Suspension
  • Torque FULL, New HET Engine
  • Stress-Free Riding Posture
  • Superior Aerodynamics
  • Key On Tank
  • Engine Stop Switch
  • Single Channel ABS
  • Dual, Petal Disc Brakes
  • Hazard Switch

The headlamp and tail light on this bike is fully LED, which means more visibility during night time. However, the new and stylish engine cowl is what completed the design.

The Honda Hornet 2.0 comes in 4 different color options: Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, and Pearl Igneous.

Brakes and Tires

Safety feature on the Honda Hornet 2.0 has just taken a leap. The bike now comes with Single-Channel ABS (Antilock Braking System) and Dual Disc Brakes. The disc on the front is 276mm (1 channel ABS) while the rear disc is 220mm.

When it comes to the tire, the front tire of the new Hornet 2.0 is 110/70 -17 and the rear is 140/70 – 17. In my opinion, the tires on Hornet has always been one of my favorites and they didn’t disappoint this time as well.

Fuel Efficiency

As we know, Honda Hornet has always been known for its comfort, convenience, and mileage. This time around, they might have upgraded the power figures. But with that FI engine, expect it to be almost as efficient as the previous model.

The mileage of the all-new Hornet Honda 2.0 has said to be 40km per liter. Though, you can expect it to provide a satisfactory mileage as compared to most 200cc segment motorcycles.

Honda Hornet 2.0 Price in Nepal and Launch Date

Honda has completely changed the perspective through which we used to see the Hornet, in a good way. I feel like the Hornet 2.0 has officially claimed their ability to accommodate the needs of a modern rider. However, it feels a bit overpriced for a 180cc segment bike.

The price of Honda Hornet 2.0 in India is set at INR. 1.26 lakhs. That means it is fair to expect the price of Honda Hornet 2.0 in Nepal to be around NPR. 3.5 lakhs.

With a price like this, I can’t help but compare it to most of the 200cc bikes. Nonetheless, the Hornet 2.0 is simply not equivalent to the likes of NS200 or TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

The launch of Honda Hornet 2.0 in Nepal is uncertain due to the current situation of lockdown throughout the country. Only time will tell, till then, STAY SAFE, STAY HOME.
