Royal Enfield Files a trademark for the new 650 cc bike: Royal Enfield Shotgun.

Royal Enfiled Trademarks for Shotgun 650

Royal Enfield has recently filed a trademark name in India for its new bike. The company has registered multiple names lately, including Roadster, Hunter, Sherpa, and Flying Flea

Although there is no indication from the company itself, multiple reports suggest that the name is reserved for a 650cc bike from Royal Enfield. However, there were reports on a conventional cruiser with a 650 cc engine a couple of times, but the bike will likely be called Roadster 650. Recent spy reports suggest another 650cc bike on the road tests along with the Roadster 650. So, this might just be the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 with a traditional look, upright riding ergonomics, blacked-out peashooter exhausts, and no windshield.

The new Royal Enfield 650 should be the company’s new 650cc cruiser motorcycle and is being tested on the Indian roads. The reports and images suggest that the bike will have a round headlamp, slender fuel tank, and alloy wheels. The bike is expected to have a longer wheelbase than the Intercepter 650 and Continental GT. moreover, the bike will have split seats, rounded taillamps, a twin-exhaust system, a fatter rear fender, and round turn indicators. The bike will also have forward-set footpegs and a wide handlebar.

The Royal Enfield Shotgun will feature a cruiser-like large 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel with thick tires. There will be Upside-Down front forks and conventional twin shock absorbers at the rear. Similarly, the braking will be handled by disc brakes on both ends, a dual-channel ABS, and a slipper clutch assist.

The Shotgun is expected to have a 649cc twin-cylinder engine, which is the same engine used in the Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650. This engine can generate a maximum power of 47 PS and a peak torque of 52 Nm. Moreover, it is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox transmission.

Royal Enfield recently announced the launch of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and will launch the next-gen classic 350 which shares the same platform. However, we expect the launch of the Shotgun by early 2022 and the expected price in India is more than 3 million Indian Rupees

The market will be better for the Shotgun 650 because there are no competitions in this segment and also comes at a reasonable price.
