Yamaha had already launched the Yamaha MT25 in the Asian market a few years ago. Now, the company has decided to bring the Japanese motorcycle for the Nepali riders and is currently testing the bike on Nepali roads. The bike is expected to be available in the Nepali market soon. The arrival of the motorcycle and pricing is yet to be announced for Nepal.
Yamaha MT25 Overview
Yamaha MT25 is all set to make an impact on the Nepali market and among Nepali bike enthusiasts. The bike is an updated version of the existing MT15 and MT09 variants. The bike is not officially announced by distributors for the Nepali market but is expected to arrive in Nepal before a launch in the Indian market.
Features and Design
2021 Yamaha MT25 has an eye-catching MT-03 inspired look and features a muscular fuel tank, aggressive-style shrouds, stepped-up seats, upswept exhaust, and a low-slung full-LED headlight.
Other features of the Yamaha MT25 include a full LED headlamp, LED Daytime running lights (DRLs), digital instrument cluster. The instrument cluster provides all the necessary details about the bike at a single glance, like speed, gear indication, rpm, fuel level, indicator and, headlamp status.
Engine and Performances
MT25 is powered by a 4-stroke, 2-cylinders, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin DOHC engine with a displacement of 249 ccs. It can generate a maximum power of 35.5 hp at 12,000 rpm and 23.6 Nm at 10,000 rpm.
There is a fuel tank of 14 litres capacity in the latest MT25 and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox. With a kerb weight of 165 kg, the bike is a little heavier and has a good 160 mm ground clearance.
Brakes and Tires
The suspensions on the MT25 are handled by inverted Telescopic forks on the front and linkless mono-shock on the rear end. There are disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS, which helps to control skidding on highways.
The front tire size of the MT25 is 110 / 70-17M, and that of the rear is 140 / 70-17M. Similarly, the wheelbase of the bike is 1380 mm with 780 mm of seat height.

Yamaha MT25 Price in Nepal and Availability
Yamaha is currently selling MT15 and MT09 variants of MT in Nepal, among which the MT15 is the most sold and preferred bike by the youths. MT25 is expected to be carrying the legacy set by the other variants and become a success in the Nepali motorcycle industry.
Yamaha MT25 is expected to launch in the Nepali market sooner than the Indian market. So, the bike’s detailed features and pricing will be available later on when Yamaha Nepal announces it officially.
