Yamaha XTZ 150 is finally arriving in Nepal after much anticipation. Yamaha Nepal had been hyping the launch of XTZ since the mid-2019. The wait is finally over, and you can book yourself one right now for the Yamaha XTZ 150 in Nepal as the official Yamaha XTZ 150 Price in Nepal is Rs. 4.74 lakhs.
MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal recently rolled out the announcement. The bookings were initially announced at the Koteshwor Yamaha Showroom.
This year has been really productive for Yamaha. They launched a bunch of motorcycles and now they are bringing the XTZ 150. Personally, I think the 150 will perform better than the XTZ 125 since the older version had some issues with it. But this article is about the all-new Yamaha XTZ 150. So, let’s start with its design and features.
Design and Features
Talking about the design, the Yamaha XTZ 150 is a dirtbike, so instantly you get a higher ground clearance with an aggressive design that seems ready to tackle even the toughest roads.
I’d say the design on this motorcycle is similar to the Haojue NK150. The XTZ 150 comes with a beak-styled headlamp and a brawny fuel tank. Although it looks like a bit plasticky, the reduced weight eventually helps out while off-roading.
Yamaha XTZ 150 features a two-level yet the single-piece seat, a high-mounted exhaust for off-roads, relatively high ground clearance, and spoke wheel tires.
There are three different colour variants of the Yamaha XTZ 150 – Blue, Black, and Brown.
Salient features of Yamaha XTZ 150:
- EURO3 Compliant 150cc Fuel Injected Engine
- 235mm Ground Clearance
- Digital-Analog Hybrid Instrument Cluster
- Halogen Head and Tail Lamps
- Utilitarian-Sport Design
Engine and Performance
Yamaha XTZ 150 comes with a 149.3cc, 2-valve, air-cooled, SOHC engine powered by Yamaha’s BlueFlex technology. It generates a maximum power of 12.2hp at 7,500rpm, and a maximum torque of 13.1nm at 6,000rpm. Moreover, it features a 5-speed gearbox.
Similarly, the motorcycle comes with a 12-litre fuel tank. Expect a mileage of 40kmpl on the Yamaha XTZ 150. However, fuel efficiency is a subject to change according to the riding style and road condition.
Brakes and Tires
The Yamaha XTZ 150 features tubeless tires that are 90/90-19 on the front and 110/90-17 at the rear. It has a standard braking system with a disc-brake only at the front.
It comes with a Telescope fork at the front and a rear Mono-Cross Swingarm (built on Semi-double crib chassis) for the suspension. As mentioned it has an impressive 235mm ground clearance and an 835mm seat height.
Yamaha XTZ 150 Price in Nepal and Availability
The upgraded power and a bunch of new features come at a price. Personally, I think it is a bit on the higher side.
The Yamaha XTZ 150 price in Nepal is set at NPR.4,74,900.
The reason I think it is on a higher side is because of the NPR.1.74 lakhs more that you will be spending over the XTZ 125. The Yamaha XTZ 125 is not a bad motorcycle, it just lacked a lot of features that are expected to be fulfilled by the XTZ 150.
I’d suggest you wait for the launch of the Yamaha XTZ 150 as it’s already here. The 125cc engine seems a bit less for the roads in Nepal, therefore if you ask me I’d go with the XTZ 150. But it’s completely up to the preferences of the rider.
