Yamaha YZF R1 is a complete sports bike, built with the maximum safety feature and attractive visual appeal. The super sports bike will be equipped with a 4-cylinder, 4-valve, cross-plane 998cc engine that churns out a maximum power of 197BHP@13,500RPM and a maximum Torque of 112.4Nm@11,500RPM.
The Yamaha YZF R1 sits on an aluminum delta box frame and has some technological upgrades like Quick-shift system and an updated lift system. The Yamaha bike will also feature slide control, launch control, anti-wheelie control, unified braking system, and banking sensitive traction control.

Design and Features

Braking and Safety
On the braking front, The Yamaha YZF-R1 will get an ABS and Unified Braking System for maximum braking performance. It will have disc brakes on both the ends. The bike will be in the lightweight in the category of a sports bike, thanks to its magnesium wheels and aluminum tank. The kerb weight of the bike will be kept at just 199 KGs.
Suspension duties of the motorcycle will be taken care by the 43mm fully adjustable KYB forks. The upgraded safety features and the powerful cross-plane engine will offer stable, precise and efficient handling performance during acceleration, braking, and cornering.
The Yamaha YZF R1 will return a mileage of a mere 15kmpl. It is the best mileage as compared to the other 998cc sports bike in the market. It is not a daily commuter is meant only for the racing tracks. So, the fuel efficiency of the bike should not be a concern.
The Yamaha YZF will be available in two striking color schemes; Yamaha Blue and Tech Black. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 17 liters and measures a top speed of 285km/hr. In the Nepali market, the Yamaha YZF R1 will rub its shoulder against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, BMW S1000RR, MV Augusta 800rr, MV Augusta F4 1000, Honda CBR1000R and the Suzuki GSX-R1000.
