Yamaha YZF R1 – Born for the track | Bike Prices in Nepal

Yamaha YZF R1 is the flagship offering from the Japanese automaker and comes with a cross-plane engine and a top-class design and features to give goosebumps to the bike riders. This Yamaha bike falls under the fast category. With updated electronic subsystems to help you keep it all under control and the combined effect of the components make the bike a racing machine. The Yamaha YZF R1 is launched in India with a price tag of Rs 20.39 lakhs.

Yamaha R15 Overview

The bike carries the pure MotoGP blood with a few upgrades to show its presence as a strong contender in the market segment. The powerful racing bike is yet to be launched in Nepal. Engine and Performance

Yamaha YZF R1 is a complete sports bike, built with the maximum safety feature and attractive visual appeal. The super sports bike will be equipped with a 4-cylinder, 4-valve, cross-plane 998cc engine that churns out a maximum power of 197BHP@13,500RPM and a maximum Torque of 112.4Nm@11,500RPM.

The Yamaha YZF R1 sits on an aluminum delta box frame and has some technological upgrades like Quick-shift system and an updated lift system. The Yamaha bike will also feature slide control, launch control, anti-wheelie control, unified braking system, and banking sensitive traction control.

Design and Features

Talking about the design, the Deltabox aluminum lightweight frame and titanium exhaust system gives a unique sporty look to the bike. The new model Yamaha YZF R1 will strike the Nepali market with improved aerodynamics, compact body and sharper character that’s dynamic than ever. The bike will have a cross-plane engine, shorter wheelbase and some of the cutting edge electronics that is enough to excite the bike lovers of Nepal.

The Yamaha YZF-R1 will be equipped with the cutting edge features like anti-wheelie control, slide control, unified braking system, launch control, and traction control. The YZF-R1 will come with the most complicated instrumental cluster units fitted to any motorcycle and will have a Thin Film Transistor LCD panel.

The instrument cluster will display a wide range of information to the rider.  The Yamaha YZFR1 will look aggressive and stylish than ever with its improved aerodynamics and overall design language. The Yamaha bike will have a sharp design language and LED headlamp unit with DRLs similar to the previous model and the new paint schemes and graphics will further contribute an aggressive look to the Yamaha YZF R1.

Braking and Safety

 On the braking front, The Yamaha YZF-R1 will get an ABS and Unified Braking System for maximum braking performance. It will have disc brakes on both the ends. The bike will be in the lightweight in the category of a sports bike, thanks to its magnesium wheels and aluminum tank. The kerb weight of the bike will be kept at just 199 KGs.

Suspension duties of the motorcycle will be taken care by the 43mm fully adjustable KYB forks. The upgraded safety features and the powerful cross-plane engine will offer stable, precise and efficient handling performance during acceleration, braking, and cornering.

Fuel Efficiency

The Yamaha YZF R1 will return a mileage of a mere 15kmpl. It is the best mileage as compared to the other 998cc sports bike in the market. It is not a daily commuter is meant only for the racing tracks. So, the fuel efficiency of the bike should not be a concern.

Final Thoughts

The Yamaha YZF will be available in two striking color schemes; Yamaha Blue and Tech Black. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 17 liters and measures a top speed of 285km/hr. In the Nepali market, the Yamaha YZF R1 will rub its shoulder against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, BMW S1000RR, MV Augusta 800rr, MV Augusta F4 1000, Honda CBR1000R and the Suzuki GSX-R1000.
