Yatri Motorcycles, the Nepali Electric Vehicles Company, unveiled two of its first and most-anticipated electric bikes: Project One and Project Zero. Project Zero was already revealed about a year ago; however, Project One is its less expensive siblings with similar features.
After a test ride recently, the company finally revealed some details about the new bike. The price of Project One was also recently revealed at the launch of both bikes and is set at Rs. 4.95 Lakhs.
Yatri Project One Overview
Yatri was founded in 2017 with a vision to re-invent urban mobility and provide world-class electric vehicles with their overall design, engineering, and manufacturing in Nepal. This helps people to understand that switching to electric vehicles is better, quicker, and kinder for the planet and not a compromise.
Project One is a tone down than its high-priced sibling but comes with a great performance and power. Although there is not much information on the bike about the design and specifications, we are sharing all that is currently available.
Features and Design
Project One is similar to its Sibling, Project Zero, with modest aesthetics, futuristic design, and a more scrambler-like design. The white carbon fibre makes it look unique and sporty. The bike also has premium features like LED headlamps with DRL on the front and LED taillights on the rear too. However, the bike will only be available in the revealed colour, which is silver.
With plush suspension and upright ergonomics, Project One provides a good commute on Nepali roads with comfort and ease.
Engine and Performances
The new Project One is lighter and agile than its sibling, weighing 110 kg and producing a peak power of 19 hp. The electric bike boasts a power-to-weight ratio similar and comparable with 250 cc segment bikes.
Project One is powered by a 3.0 kWh battery and produces a maximum power of 14 kW (19 hp) and a wheel torque of 480 Nm. The 3 kWh battery provides a range of 110 km as claimed by the company and produces a top speed of 100 km per hour.
The battery of Project One can be fully charged in 6 hours in-home charging at 0.5 kW and the 3 kW fast charging can fully charge the battery in 1 hour.
