Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd., Hyundai’s authorized distributor in Nepal, launched the latest Hyundai IONIQ electric facelift 2020. After the Hyundai Kona’s grand success, which became the best-selling e-SUV in Nepal, the company has finally launched the new Electric Sedan, Hyundai Ioniq.
The premium sedan is available for Rs. 55.96 lakhs and is currently available for pre-booking.
Hyundai Ioniq Electric Overview
Hyundai Ioniq is here to make you experience the future mobility in your daily life. The electric sedan is available with more power, long driving range, and various unique features. The Ioniq is built to become hybrid and electric.
Power and Performance
The all-new Hyundai Ioniq is a fully electric sedan powered by a 38.3 kWh electric motor, generating a battery power of 100 kW. The electric motor runs too quiet and is simple, quick, and reliable than a conventional gas engine, and generates no emissions. The engine’s peak torque is 30.1 kgfm (295 Nm).
The Hyundai Ioniq is controlled by the Electric Power Control Unit (ECPU), which performs highly complex tasks to regulate different electrical and electronic systems. The charge time of the e-Sedan is 8 to 10 hours with a range of 311 km and a top speed of 165 km per hour.
The base curb weight of the Sedan is 3371 pounds.
Exterior and Interior Features
The design of the Hyundai Ioniq is unique and futuristic with LED DRLL and LED Headlamps, which look stylish and cool. The LED Grille provides a futuristic identity of the electric sedan and provides better aerodynamics.
The sedan has chrome door scuffs, a power sunroof, chrome belt moulding, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear is as beautiful as the front, with the IONIQ written below the Hyundai logo and the gorgeous chevron pattern LED rear combination lamps to get all the attention.
The IONIQ electric interior is designed purely to show the uniqueness of the vehicle with three types of seat variants- black, electric shadow, and grey. The whole vehicle’s information is provided on the Supervision cluster with a 7-inch colour LCD, with excellent legibility and colourful graphic format.

Brakes and Suspension
McPherson Strut handles the suspension on the Hyundai Ioniq on the front and Torsion Beam on the rear end. The brakes on the vehicle are a 4-wheel Disc braking system with Anti-lock Braking System on all four wheels. The front brake rotors are 11 inches in diameter, with the rear brake rotors of 11.2 inches.
The front and rear tire of the Ioniq is P205/55 HR16 in size and both made of aluminium.
