Hyundai is looking forward to launching a new SUV in the Indian market. The company will launch a crossover micro-SUV, which was recently spotted on different roads during its testing. The codename for the micro-SUV is given as AX-1, and the company has released the teaser of the SUV.
The new micro-SUV will be based on the i10 Nios Platform, while the front look is unique and quirky. The AX1 gets round LEDs with DRLs in the front with a triangular LED hex pattern and dynamic strips in the rear. Moreover, a turn indicator is attached above the main headlamps, and the front also has a triangular mesh-designed front grille.
The AX1 is smaller than Hyundai sub-compact SUV, Hyundai Venue, and expected to be about 3.7 to 3.8 meters long. It is likely to have 6-spoke alloy wheels and has a rear door handle on the C Pillar.
Various reports suggest that the micro-SUV will have two engine options: a 1.0 Liter petrol engine and a 1.0 Liter Turbocharged engine. Moreover, it will be equipped with either an automatic manual transmission gearbox or an automatic gearbox.
The price of the car is not revealed yet, but reports suggest the micro-SUV will be priced at INR. 5 Lakhs in India. The car will be based on the K-1 platform and placed on a new segment of Hyundai.
