Japanese automaker, Honda launch this newest flagship scooter on 2019 to repeat the history of Activa with latest and advanced offerings like powered by a powerful engine with a trustworthy underpinnings, solid looks , all-digital instrument console, vibration-free, LED headlamp, eco-mode indicator, front disc brake, telescopic front forks, LED tail lamp, front storage pocket and much more with good built-up performance. Currently, the price of Grazia in Nepal is Rs 2,10,900 for DRS and Rs. 2,26,900 for DSS.
This scooter is getting very popular on Nepalese youth because of its smooth ride, agile handling. This scooter is available on three variants and they are a drum, drum alloy, and drum disc. Honda is very confident about the lighting of Grazia because of headlamp set up so they have given slogan as ‘the light that shines like no other’.
Engine and Performance
The Honda Grazia 125 is powered by the same 124.9cc, 2 cylinder, air-cooled engine that is ideal for the production of 8.5 bhp power at 6500 RPM and 10.5 Nm at 5000 RPM torque outputs. It has V-Matic transmission connected to the engine. This self starts scooter also has 2 valves per cylinder and fan-cooled as a cooling system. To lower the friction for increased efficiency engine of this scooter features HET(Honda Eco Technology).
This bike weighs around 107 km 1kg less than Activa 125 and top speed is 85kmph which is also 1kmph higher than Activa 125. The engine has lower to mid-range efficiency in its component and claim as one of the best off-line scooters. The unit comes in conjunction with a CVT system, standard on most scooters, to allow shifts without clutches. the battery of this scooter is 12v 3Ah(MF).
Design and features
Grazia looks awesome and distinguishes itself from its sibling because of its muscular look, aggressive styling, shark nose from its side and Contemporary Urbane Design. A third of the front apron takes up the wide all-LED headlamp with large indicators on both sides. A V-shaped matte black plastic garnish surrounds the lights with muscular creased panels. The cowl that houses the instrumentation is busy with three-tone panels-body color, matt black, and light red.
The name of this scooter is written on under floorboard as “Honda” and side panels are connected by muscular lines. This scooter is available on different colors léike orange, black, grey, white, blue and red. Here front CBS uses both brakes for effective control while the front disc is used for urgency as well as brakes make best-stopping power. The sheet metal tubeless wheel size is 12″ from MRF which give confidence while riding urban city like Kathmandu.
The size both of front and the rear tyre is 90/90-12 which gives a smooth ride. The chassis type is under the bone of this scooty and this scooty gets a telescopic front suspension and spring-loaded hydraulic type rear suspension which helps to absorb large shocks and better ground control.
The fuel efficiency of this scooter depends on the roads and riders. the milage of honda is 60kmpl as per claimed by ARAI mileage to all variants but as per riders 46.7kmpl in city and 48.4kmpl on the highway. there is no reserve fuel capacity but the fuel capacity of this scooter is 5.3l. The overall riding range of this scooter is 286.2km. This scooter has fuel gauge as well as fuel warning indicator so the rider can fill on time.
